Real Clients Answer Your Questions About Hair Loss Solutions

So you’ve decided to seek out solutions for your hair loss. Congratulations on taking the first step in your hair restoration journey! There are so many surgical, non-surgical, and medical options out there and we understand all of the information can be overwhelming. So how do you know which hair loss solution is best for you and what exactly does that process entail? At PAI Medical Group we want to provide you with the most accurate information and a complete understanding of our hair transplantation options. We have garnered out Top 5 most asked questions and had them answered not only by our hair restoration experts but real clients who have come to PAI for their hair loss needs.

Question #5 – What are the benefits of PAI’s Multi-Unit Hair Grafting™ Procedure?

MUHG is completely natural looking hair restoration solution that gives more hair volume or coverage than traditional methods such as Follicular Unit Grafting. In procedures where Follicular Unit Grafting techniques are used completely, many more hairs are damaged or killed by the surgical instrument. Plus, over the course of the next 12 to 18 months, that it takes to get your final result, you will actually lose a lot of the hair that you had transplanted. With the Multi-Unit Hair Grafting ™ technique, you receive more hair per session and more of that hair survives. One client who received our MUHG said, “The procedure was quick and I was able to obtain better coverage with one transplant.” With this procedure you can achieve the best results in the shortest amount of time which makes it more cost-effective for you as well.

Question #4 – Are the results permanent?

It’s no surprise this is a common question when it comes to looking for a answer to your hair loss. If the individual is a candidate, the results are most typically permanent for the remainder of one’s life. This is because the hair in the back area of the head is resistant to the DHT hormone that most commonly causes hairs in other areas to be lost. So when transplanted to other areas of your head it maintains it’s resistance to the DHT hormone that causes thinning hair and hair loss. But we’ll let some of our client’s results speak for themselves:

So far so good at the one year mark.” -Anonymous
“Yes, has been a year now and my hair is doing well, looking much better than before.” -J.C.

Yes, absolutely. I am a Physician and when my patient’s see me they ask me what i had done, they cannot believe how great it looks!” –Jean-Paul Etienne

Question #3 – How natural are the results?

“Plugs” and “corn row” type procedures are a thing of the past. Today’s hair restoration and transplantation technology looks completely natural. To achieve this natural result, we tailor the procedure to the hair type and needs of the individual. The technology used at PAI allows us to use a blend of hair graft types in one procedure. Our clients have reported excellent results. B.S. says, “People can’t tell I’ve had a hair transplant. Since it is your own hair that has filled in the areas of loss, you won’t even notice a difference, expect that you have more hair!” Steve’s results helped him achieve a younger look. “The results look completely natural. It gave me back my hair I had 30 years ago.” He adds.

Question #2 – How soon can I go back to work?

They say “time is money” right? Taking time off of work after a hair transplant is a reasonable cause for worry. Fortunately, it’s probably a lot shorter than you think but several factors do need to be taken into account. Your profession is one such variable, but the typical amount of time needed away from work after a hair-transplant procedure is just one to three days. Working out—and anything strenuous—should be avoided for at least the first couple of weeks to ensure that your transplanted hairs take a firm hold in your scalp. Plus we will show you how to style your hair to conceal any obvious signs you’ve had a procedure done as you heal.

Question #1 – Does it hurt?

Occasionally some mild sensitivity can be experienced the night of the procedure in the donor area. We offer a prescription for a pain reliever to most patients, but simple over-the-counter medicine can usually take care of any temporary discomfort for most people. “Outside of the little pain on the first night there was no pain and no pain during the actual procedure,” T.M. said. With the modern techniques used today, patients report little to no discomfort during the actual procedure. We administer a mild sedative before the procedure to help with nervousness or ease any apprehension. Then a local anesthetic is administered in the area that the procedure is being performed, although there usually is no feeling as a result of the previously administered sedative. Our client Joe Bergen said, “The procedure did not hurt. There was a small amount of discomfort from some swelling and some in the donor area, but it is very minimal.”
