Combining PRP Therapy and Hair Transplants

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy has been around for a while, used as a medical treatment for healing damaged body tissue, etc. PAI Medical Group Indiana is one of a select group of hair restoration industry leaders that are now using this method as a procedure to help thicken and regrow hair or in conjunction with a hair transplant. More and more patients are now opting to receive PRP Therapy during their hair transplant procedure. The Process

The patient’s blood is drawn and then spun in a centrifuge to separate the blood into two components: platelet rich plasma and platelet poor plasma. Patients do not have to have a lot of blood drawn since only a small amount is needed for PRP. In hair transplants, Platelet Rich Plasma is infused with an A-Cell matrix, which promotes stem cell growth. PAI Medical Group Indiana has the highest quality centrifuges to carefully separate the blood and prepare the Platelet Rich Plasma for hair transplants.
